I used to do this, and I used to do it quickly and well. Spent the day transcribing a last interview for the analysis project. I'd left it untranscribed for my project for Richard, as he said we could work from notes. But using Nvivo, and attempting in depth textual analysis I've got to get the actual words down. Tom paid for someone to transcribe. If that were only a live option.
Only twenty minutes of the interview left, but I'm glazing over. I've got it set up so Pages is active and the iTunes small-dohickey is active simultaneously. A flick of the thumb on the touch pad and I stop or start the audio. And then type. Maybe the most useful skill I learned in high school, that typing?
I'm glazing over. Back to work. Slog on.
